Our client is looking for a Business Analyst. Primary Responsibilities Analysis and Solution Definition • Elicit, analyze, validate and document business requirements, processes and business rules to drive business solutions • Assess impacts of changes to systems and other functional processes • Investigate and analyze opportunities to help improve business efficiencies, by defining and documenting the current and future state processes • Gather and document business requirements and perform gap analyses as required • Facilitate system selection where applicable, including vendor market analysis, RFQ/RFP process, vendor demos and final vendor assessment and selection, and support of subsequent related activities, including implementation Project Execution • Support technology design and re-design activities through interpretation and clarification of business requirements and processes • Assist and support the project team and business representatives throughout projects and escalate issues/risks to the project manager as appropriate • Perform quality assurance and lead all testing as required • Create and document use cases, test scripts and scenarios for system testing • Facilitate user training, including creation of user documentation as required • Revise or develop document and process templates as necessary Non-Project Responsibilities • Troubleshooting issues with live systems • Support of other team members and the business to solve problems & realize efficiency gains • Provide mentoring and coaching to other team members Qualifications • Bachelor Degree with a CMA or CGA designation or senior level accounting courses • 5-7 years of business analysis experience in a corporate IT environment working on small to enterprise applications, including package solutions and small to large projects • Understanding of accounting and financial concepts: GL, AP, AR, sub-ledger, ROI, budget & forecasting, financial reporting, etc. • Ability to apply business analysis and project management best practices, practically • Change management / process re-engineering experience • Experience with a large scale ERP system preferred; JDEdwards is an asset • Intermediate experience with MS Visio, MS Project, and advanced experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Solutions oriented; learn quickly, understand complex problems, and apply useful solutions • Adept at working with senior level management, stakeholders and end users • Occasional travel may be required • Strong understanding of the real estate business and key business processes, Portfolio management knowledge If this sounds like you, please send your cover letter and resume to apply@arlynreid.net.
